The Government is looking to the past to criticise the Opposition once again, the GSD claims. The party has questioned the administration on how the Government intends to house those on the Housing List, as they promised to do during their first tenure in office.
The Department of the Environment today launched the first of a number of apps aimed at educating youngsters on environmental issues. The educational game follows young Gibraltarian boy Kevin, and Jiggy the jigsaw puzzle as they solve problems relating to Gibraltar’s natural environment.
Welcoming recently appointed Financial Services Commission CEO, Samantha Barrass into her new position; Minister Albert Isola yesterday addressed a reception attended by members at the forefront of Gibraltar’s banking industry. Mrs Barrass paid homage to former CEO Marcus Killick for handing over to her a ‘legacy that he should be proud of’. She also paid tribute to the staff of the FSC that she has been getting to know. She looked forward to the growth opportunities within the financial sector and aims to support the development and innovation in a way that builds confidence in the regulator, for being un-bureaucratic.
Following an analysis of the surrounding areas at Europa Point, The Gibraltar Heritage Trust, similarly to GONHS have found no evidence that the Europa Point Stadium would affect the surrounding heritage sites, above ground. The Trust admits that they are unaware of what impact might be had under the ground. They also welcome the announcement that surrounding walls will be enhanced as part of the project.
