Below follows a joint statement on the progress of the EU-UK Agreement in respect of Gibraltar:
European Commission Executive Vice-President Maroš Šefčovič, Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares and UK Foreign Secretary David Cameron, together with the Chief Minister of Gibraltar Fabian Picardo met in Brussels on Friday 12 April.
Following yesterday’s announcement that current CBF for Gibraltar, Commodore Clink will leave his post for a promotion to Rear Admiral, No.6 has congratulated the Commodore and wished him well in his new post, which will further include Flag Officer Scotland, Northern Ireland and Northern England and Flag Officer Reserves.
SSAFA Gibraltar will hold a traditional Clotted Cream Tea Party at the Convent Cloisters on Saturday 7th June. There will be two sessions, one in the morning at 11.00 – 12.30 and an afternoon session from 1.30 – 3.00.
Western Beach consistently had excellent bacterial water quality prior to 2010. Since then, and especially during periods of rainfall in the winter months, there have been episodes associated with sewage discharges from a storm water drain from La Linea which significantly affected the bacterial water quality at this beach. Western Beach was however opened last summer due to bathing water quality being acceptable from an EU bathing water quality perspective during this period.
