Two Divers from the Department of the Environment and Climate Change have recently qualified as Scientific Divers. This qualification follows from a Global Underwater Explorers course undertaken last year after which the Department’s divers became proficient in dive planning, buoyancy control, trim, team awareness, gas management and decompression and took them into technical diving.
The GSD says it notes the way Spanish Fishermen “continue to come into BGTW to fish with illegal nets and rakes on a daily basis, despite the clear manifesto promise by the GSLP-Liberals in 2011 to put a stop to the practice.”
A group of eleven students from Bayside and Westside were briefed by the Deputy Chief Minister Dr Joseph Garcia yesterday afternoon before they visit the European Union institutions in Brussels later this week.
