Officers from the RGP Operations Division currently investigating recent instances of Violence and Anti-Social Behaviour in the area of Glacis Estate have carried out several arrests. These follow an incident of Violent Disorder at Glacis Estate last Friday, where seven individuals were arrested by RGP Response Team officers and where bladed weapons were seized.
Gibraltar Cultural Services on behalf of the Ministry of Culture have announced that the traditional Fair attractions will once again be in Gibraltar throughout the Christmas Festive Season.
The 52 interviews with local personalities conducted by Clive Golt as part of GBC’s “In Camera” programme have been transcribed and released as a four volume set which will be sold alongside DVDs of the original recordings.
The Government says it has a clear policy to invest in Gibraltar’s future. It says that the Savings Bank takes deposits from the public and reinvests them and, by doing so, is able to offer high interest rates to depositors whilst making a profit for the reserve. The Government says it does not gamble with public money: the loans granted by Credit Finance “are paid back on time and with interest” and this is all done “securely and with the purpose of making good, sound investments in Gibraltar’s future.”
The GSD says it has taken time to review the statements made by HSL, as reported in the media, on the safety of the LNG storage facility proposed to be built by the GSLP/Liberals.
