The Government says it notes, “with disappointment”, the European Parliament’s objection, today, to the entry into force of the European Commission’s decision to remove certain jurisdictions, including Gibraltar, from the EU’s list of ‘high-risk’ third-countries with strategic deficiencies as regards anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing (“AML/CFT”).
As part of the Government’s commitment to tackle litter and waste, two Litter Wardens were appointed earlier this year. The aim of this initiative was to eradicate the problem in several known littering “hotspots” and generally to boost pride in Gibraltar by improving the local environment and streetscape.
The GSD says that given the government’s “constant blame the GSD mantra”, it is not surprised at the latest statement from the Alliance regarding the appointment system at the Primary Care Centre.
Gibraltar will release a very exclusive, limited edition Gibraltar gold coin struck in 22 carat fine gold to commemorate Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II becoming the longest serving monarch. The edition is limited to 63 coins, one for each year of her reign.
