Thirteen members from the Laguna Youth Club took part in a residential at the Retreat Centre last weekend. The programme planned by the members included a variety of educational and fun activities, a tour of the World War II tunnels, a Karaoke evening as well as designing and creating a logo and mission statement for Laguna Youth Club.
The GSD has criticised the Government today for ‘permitting hauls of fish to be netted illegally’ in BGTW, despite their 2011 manifesto commitment to ‘ensure the ban on the use of drift nets and other nets’.
The party touches upon recent reports of Spanish fishing trawlers hauling in nets of fish in the area of the artificial reef.
A competition to design the logo for the recently announced ‘Mario Finlayson National Art Gallery’ has been launched today. The competition is open to British nationals resident in Gibraltar aged 18 and over. Entrants may submit up to four original works. Entries must be submitted in an A4 size on paper or card, indicating whether the orientation is ‘portrait’ or ‘landscape’, they much also contain the wording ‘Mario Finlayson National Art Gallery’.
The FSC has today launched an online survey offering stakeholders the opportunity to comment on its current website. In line with its commitment in the Strategic Plan and Business Plan, the FSC is aiming to revamp and redevelop its website in 2015, with this survey acting as the initial stage.
