Jun 21 - Sailors And Marines To Swim Around The Rock For Charity

On Monday, sailors and marines from the Royal Navy Gibraltar Squadron will swim 6.8 nautical miles around the Rock of Gibraltar to raise money for the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity.

The swimmers hope to raise £1000 which will go towards the work the RNRMC do in support of Service personnel’s welfare and that of their families. 

This support includes grants to service personnel to improve life onboard ships, sponsorship of sporting and adventurous training opportunities for serving personnel.

It also includes financial support for worthwhile projects and causes that provide welfare facilities, accommodation and care for Service personnel and their families who need help.
