Oct 13 - Marie Cavilla Tree
Earlier this week, the Minister for the Environment, Dr John Cortes, unveiled a plaque next to a memorial almond tree planted in the Theatre Royal Garden.
The Marie Cavilla Tree will commemorate the life of those touched by Breast Cancer. Father Derek Alvarez officiated the ceremony.
Mrs Marie Cavilla, who was Vice Chairperson of Breast Cancer Support Gibraltar and a great asset to the charity who oversaw many of the charity's projects, passed away on 7th May this year.
The plaque was kindly donated by Charles Anes and the almond tree and its future maintenance provided by Greenarc.
