Sep 26 - Charity Football Event This Weekend
The Gibraltar Defence Police, along with other Gibraltar essential services, will be taking part in a charity 5-a-side football event in aid of charity. The event will take place on Sunday 30 September at Pitch 2 at the Victoria Stadium.
Representatives from the majority of essential services and law-enforcement agencies in Gibraltar will participate in the event in order to raise money for GBC’s Open Day, a very worthy cause. The event will also provide the services with a great opportunity to come together for a few hours of fun and to demonstrate to Gibraltar that the various agencies are all part of a much bigger team.
The event is scheduled to start at 11:00am on Sunday and should conclude around 19:00. A reception will follow at the Gibraltar Defence Police Social Club at Queensway at 20:00 for all participants. This will include a presentation and refreshments will be available.
The public are invited to come along to the Stadium and show their support for the event. . The event will also include a raffle where the lucky winner will walk away with an Apple iPod and a GFA official football shirt. Tickets are priced at £1.00 and can be obtained on the day of the event or by contacting Kim Martinez on 54007555.
