Mar 17 - Childline Gibraltar's Blue Week Calls for Local Support

childlineIn support of Childline Gibraltar’s Blue Day a host of Schools around Gibraltar will be raising funds and awareness of the charity’s important work.

Sacred Heart, St Joseph’s and the Hebrew Primary School together with St Paul’s, St. Bernard’s, St Mary’s, Bishop Fitzgerald’s, Bayside, St Anne’s and Governor’s Meadow will all be taking part, along with local businesses including 888 Holdings.

As part of the awareness campaign, Childline will visit further schools and businesses to promote their work and discuss their services. On Wednesday 18th March, the team will be outside the ICC running a stall where people can pass by and chat with the charity’s team about the work they do and how to become involved.

Whilst the Helpline remains Childline’s core service, this has now been extended to a 24/7 online service, an Appropriate Adult Service for juveniles detained by the police/customs and a preventative educational programme.

The charity is always looking for volunteers as well as financial support, with donations made here.
