The GHA’s Head Orthoptist, Michelle Brown, recently travelled to a school in Guatemala on a non-profit charity mission with a team of professionals working at Moorfields Eye Hospital, with the aim of testing almost 400 children who have never had an eye test for economic reasons.
Last week’s GibSams Wellbeing at Work Conference attracted over 110 attendees including CEOs, industry professionals, community leaders and business leaders. The event featured speakers and interactive sessions designed to provide attendees with the tools and knowledge they need to promote better mental health and wellbeing in the workplace.
As part of their 40th Anniversary celebrations, Cancer Relief Gibraltar has announced that they will be hosting their first-ever fun day this Saturday 20th May at John Mackintosh Square (Piazza). The fun day will be on from 10am till 3pm where you can expect live music, a lot of games, a dress-up as a nurse competition (with prizes for the best dressed nurse), a bouncy castle, face painting, and so much more!
The RAOB recently presented two cheques from the proceeds of the Cardboard Boat Race 2022. £2000 was presented to Dick Barton from the Gibraltar Alzheimer’s & Dementia Society with another £2300 presented to Matthew Turnock from St. John’s Ambulance.
