Jun 06 - Local Man Arrested By La Linea Police In Child Porn Investigation

A 60-year-old British man from Gibraltar has been arrested in Spain on suspicion of possessing more than 100 child pornography images and videos of victims as young as three.

As reported by the news website La Calle Real, Spanish authorities were alerted to the content after the accused ordered a back up of three electronic devices at a computer software business across the border in La Linea.

The material is of children between the ages of three and 15, and includes photographs as well as videos, which were contained on a tablet, a laptop and a smartphone.

A spokesman for the Royal Gibraltar Police confirmed a local man was arrested on Friday 26th May. The RGP carried out the arrest warrant before handing him over to the Spanish authorities. The RGP also confirmed they have been assisting with all investigations.
