Jul 12 - Local Man Reported For Marine Offences

A 26-year-old local man was reported for process by Officers from the RGP’s Marine Section on Tuesday 11th July. The vessel has also been impounded.

The man was reported for exceeding the speed limit whilst navigating a speed boat within the fairway leading to the vessel refuelling stations and Ocean Village.

He was also reported for navigating a vessel without a licence. The vessel’s licence, also known as the ‘Red Book’ had been temporarily suspended by the Gibraltar Port Authority following a similar earlier breach of the speed limit.

In addition to being reported for process by Police, the period of suspension of the vessel’s licence has been extended by the Gibraltar Port Authority until the end of September.
