Aug 03 - Dismissed Police Officer Charged With Misconduct In Public Office
A young Royal Gibraltar Police officer has been charged with one count of misconduct in public office.
Dean Penfold, 21, has been bailed out and will be appearing in the Magistrates’ Court tomorrow morning.
A spokesman for the RGP said: "Penfold was arrested on the 21st January this year by RGP officers for the said offence and after initial questioning was granted Police bail.
"At the time Penfold was a serving Police officer undergoing his probationary period. His service was terminated by the Commissioner of Police following his arrest under the provisions of the Police Regulations."
