Aug 17 - Man Charged Following Copacabana Burglary

An 18-year-old man was charged with one count of burglary in relation to a burglary at the Copacabana bar last night. 

Jamil Medhurst, of Glacis Estate, was arrested by Royal Gibraltar Police officers last night after he was trapped inside the premises by members of the public until the police arrived.

Medhurst has also been charged with two counts of being in possession of a controlled drug, which were found on him during a police search. 

He has been remanded in custody and will appear before the Magistrates' Court tomorrow morning.
