Nov 30 - Customs Seize 20g Of Cocaine - Man Arrested

Following the recent start of Operation Comet, Officers of the flexible anti-smuggling team of HM Customs yesterday arrested a local 29-year-old male on suspicion of an internal concealment of cocaine.

At approximately 13:50 yesterday, Officers at the land frontier stopped the person and, suspecting an internal concealment of drugs, exercised their powers of detention.

Shortly after, the person admitted having concealed a quantity of drugs in his rectum and expelled a plastic wrapper containing approximately 20 grams of cocaine, with a street value of approximately £1,200.

The person was arrested and released on bail pending investigations.
