Dec 15 - Supreme Court Trials Set For Robbery, Child Abduction And Assault Cases
A number of Supreme Court trials were set during a number of case management hearings this morning.
The two men who allegedly stole €1.5million during an armed robbery in New Harbours will go on trial in May next year.
Co-defendants Samir Daouaoui and Rachid Behdaoui maintain a not guilty plea for one count of possession of a firearm and one count of robbery.
The trial is set to take place as from Monday 7th May and is expected to last for a period of four weeks.
Karim Rudge, 29, will be going on trial next month for one count of child abduction.
It is alleged Rudge took a child to Spain without permission - both were reportedly seen crossing the frontier.
Rudge has pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Leon Clinton pleaded not guilty to one count of inflicting grievous bodily harm. He will go on trial next month.
Another assault case will be tried by jurors at the Supreme Court after Allan Alman pleaded not guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
The trial is set to take place in February next year.
