Jan 19 - Only One Person Fined For Dog Fouling Since September
Only one person has been fined for dog fouling since September last year. Apart from this single positive result, a further 24 samples of dog faeces were collected from September to December 2017 but these all came from dogs which have not been registered on the DNA database.
This was revealed during yesterday’s session of Parliament by the Minister for the Environment Dr John Cortes.
The fine for dog fouling is £400 but the fine for not registering a dog on the database is higher at £1,000.
