    The Government says it notes, “with disappointment”, the European Parliament’s objection, today, to the entry into force of the European Commission’s decision to remove certain jurisdictions, including Gibraltar, from the EU’s list of ‘high-risk’ third-countries with strategic deficiencies as regards anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing (“AML/CFT”).

Apr 16 - Man Denies Cocaine And Cannabis Charges

A man pleaded not guilty to possession with intent to supply 425.85gr of cannabis and 24.62gr of cocaine at the Magistrates’ Court earlier today. 

Manuel Mendez, of Flat Bastion Road, was represented by Aidan Cleverly. 

Arun Aswani appeared for the Crown. 

The Lay Magistrates declined jurisdiction and Mendez will next appear on 18th of June. The matter will be dealt with by the Supreme Court.
