Oct 03 - Man Charged Following Incident At Waterport Road

A man has been arrested and charged in connection with an altercation at Waterport Road on Monday night that resulted in a 36-year-old man being admitted to hospital where he remains under observation.

Dustin Paul Villa, 36, has been charged with:

- Assault Occasioning Grievous Bodily Harm with intent


- Assault on Police


- Resisting Arrest

In a separate but related incident in St Bernard's Hospital, Kayleigh Melanie Vinent, 29, was arrested and has been charged with:

- Disorderly Conduct whilst Intoxicated

- Criminal Damage


- Two counts of Assault on Police.

Vinent was granted Police bail.

Villa was refused bail and has been detained in Police custody.

Both are due to appear before the Magistrates’ Court on this morning.
