Oct 08 - HM Customs Make Drug Arrests At Frontier
On Tuesday afternoon last week, HM Customs Officers challenged a British male at the land frontier pedestrian channel. A search revealed that he was in possession of a Class A drug.
In a separate incident, on Wednesday afternoon, a Spanish male was stopped by Customs Officers as he entered Gibraltar through the land frontier pedestrian channel. The individual was found to be carrying approximately 2 grams of cannabis resin as well as a wrapper containing a Class A Drug.
Both detainees were arrested and conveyed to New Mole House Police Station where they were released on bail to appear at a later date.
These are the latest in a series of drug arrests carried out by HM Customs over the past weeks. The Collector of Customs has reiterated the strict zero tolerance drug policy in place in relation to the importation of drugs into Gibraltar.
