Mar 13 - RGP Passing Out Parade To Be Streamed On Facebook

The RGP passing out parade that takes place at the Piazza this afternoon as from 6pm is adapting to the digital age and will be streamed live on Facebook for the first time ever.

Fourteen RGP recruits and three from the GDP will be taking part in the ceremony after having completed four months of arduous training.

RGP Commissioner Ian McGrail welcomed the development and said the initiative was a good way to relay the event into people’s homes and underpin the police’s link with the public.

“For the first time we are streaming this sort of parade live on Facebook to reinforce that link with the people,” said Mr McGrail.
