Apr 16 - Arrest on suspicion of Fraud

Gibraltar PoliceAs a result of a Royal Gibraltar Police, Serious Crime Unit investigation, on Tuesday 16th April 2013, 45 year-old Marie Stewart, a British National, was arrested on suspicion of Fraud.

Ms Stewart is a self employed cleaner who it is alleged, together with another person, falsely represented that they were entitled to rent out a property. It is alleged that rent payments totalling £4,100 have been obtained fraudulently.

She has been charged with: one count of fraud by false representation and five counts of fraud by failing to disclose information.

Stewart will be appearing at the Magistrates Court at 1000hrs the 17th of April.
