Oct 16 - RGP Passing Out Parade For New Recruits

The latest recruits to join the Royal Gibraltar will be on parade to mark the occasion of their completion of an 18 week rigorous basic training course.

The Passing Out Parade will take place at John Macintosh Square at 1745hrs on Thursday 17 October 2013.  The 18 new police officers of this intake will receive certificates of achievement. There will also be awards for the ‘Best Academic’ and ‘Best All Round’ recruits. This year for the first time one of the recruits will receive a new award this being the Momy Levy award for the recruit who has most improved his/her fitness. This award is a porcelain figurine of a police officer which has kindly been donated by Mr Levy, this award will be given at all future recruit courses.

The band and corps of drums of the Royal Gibraltar Regiment will also be on parade by kind permission of the commanding officer Lt. Col Lopez.

The general public are cordially invited to witness the recruits passing out parade.
