Feb 18 - Local Charged with Heroin Importation

This weekend local resident, Enrique Javier Rodriguez was charged with the importation and possession of 1.6 grams of heroin, which was found concealed with his vehicle as he drove through the frontier. Mr. Rodriguez appeared before the Magistrates Court this morning, but his case was adjourned until February 28^th.

In another incident, a 38-year-old local man was arrested after Customs officers found 1 gram of Cocaine concealed within his belt buckle as he walked through the Frontier. The man has been bailed to surrender on April 11^th.
