Daniel Young, aged 19, of 8/10 Booth’s Passage was yesterday 20th March convicted in the Magistrates Court for possession of 8.77 grams of Cannabis resin and possession with intent to supply of 2.6 grams of Cannabis resin. He was sentenced to six months imprisonment.
Young received no separate penalty on a further count of possession with intent to supply of a class ‘C’ drug, 20 x 2mg tablets of Alprazolam.
The case dates back to January of 2012 when Young was detected attempting to pass the drugs, within the precinct of the Magistrates Court, to a prisoner on remand following a court appearance.
