Mar 26 - Spaniard Arrested for Burglary of £70,000 Worth of Jewellery
In December 2012 a report of a residential burglary was made to police where it was alleged that approximately £70,000 worth of jewellery was stolen.
The actual burglary occurred over a period of four months whilst the said flat was being refurbished.
An extensive and exhaustive enquiry was begun by Detectives of the RGP CID, which culminated in the arrest on Monday 25 March 2013 of Spanish National Angel Alberto Alfaya Gregorio from Algeciras. The Spanish Policia Nacional have been of great assistance in this enquiry.
Sr. Alfaya Gregorio was brought to Police Headquarters where he was interviewed under caution and subsequently charged with one count of Burglary.
He was kept in Police custody until he appeared in court on Tuesday 26 March 2013 where he was remanded in custody until the 4 April 2013.
