May 10 Governor Orders Deportation of Suspected Terrorist
The Governor has today ordered the deportation of a suspected Turkish terrorist who was arrested by the RGP on Wednesday in Casemates. Cengiz Yalcin is classified as a prohibited immigrant under the Immigration Asylum and Refugee Act.
Yalcin was one of three men arrested last August by Spanish police investigating an alleged terrorist cell. He is currently on bail in Spain after a Spanish judge decided there was insufficient evidence to hold him in custody. Yalcin will be kept in Her Majesty’s Prison until he is removed from Gibraltar
