Jul 12 - Police Promotions
Commissioner of Police Mr Eddie Yome CPM is pleased to announce promotions to the rank of Inspector and Sergeant.
The following officers have been promoted:
Inspector Thomas Tunbridge joined the service in 1998 and has served in various departments. Early in his career he served as a Community Constable, then as a detective in the Criminal Investigation Department and also in the Financial Crime Unit. He has also been deployed as a sergeant in uniformed policing.
Inspector Albert Buhagiar joined the service in 1982. Throughout a distinguished career he has been commended by Commissioners of Police on six occasions. He has served in the Criminal Investigation Department, the Drug Squad and the Marine Section. He has also deployed operationally as a sergeant in uniformed policing.
Sergeant Anna Jones joined the Royal Gibraltar Police in 2005. She has served mainly in operational uniformed policing and as a detective in the Serious Crime unit.
Sergeant Dylan Quigley joined the service in 2005. Sergeant Quigley has served in operational uniformed policing, as a detective in the Drug Squad and also in the Neighbourhood Policing Unit. He is currently a detective with the Serious Crime Unit.
Sergeant John Olivera joined the Royal Gibraltar Police in 2007. Sergeant Olivera has been deployed in operational uniformed policing, as a constable with the Neighbourhood Policing Unit and more recently as a Police Training Officer.
