Jul 15 - Gibraltar National Week Classical Concert
The Ministry of Culture is pleased to announce the details for this year’s National Week Classical Concert, which will be held on Tuesday 3rd September at St Michael’s Cave at 9pm.
The Gibraltar Philharmonic Society, which organises this concert on behalf of the Gibraltar Government, has been able to acquire the services of Sergej Krylov, conductor and violin soloist The European Symphony Orchestra
The programme includes: Mozart - Overture to Le Nozze di Figaro; Mendelssohn - Violin Concerto, Op 64 and Beethoven - Symphony No 4 in B-flat major, Op 60.
A Society spokesperson commented, “We are very proud to welcome back Sergej Krylov who performed at the National Day concert in 2011. I am sure everyone will remember his virtuosity and his great collaboration with the European Symphony Orchestra. I am also sure that this year’s programme will be one of the highlights of the Philharmonic Society’s new season.”
Tickets priced at £20 will go on sale on Monday 22nd July and will be available from Sacarello’s Coffee Shop in Irish Town and Silver Shop 222 Main Street or alternatively Credit / Debit Card purchases are available on telephone 200 72134.
Tickets priced at £10 for Senior Citizens and Students will be available from the John Mackintosh Hall reception at 308 Main Street. The ticket price includes a return shuttle service from Elliot’s Way and the Public Market as from 8pm.
