Sep 30 - Modelo Owners Win Best Tapa In La Linea Competition
The Marisquería Mara, which is owned by the same company that operates the Modelo cafeterias in La Linea and Gibraltar, has clinched this year’s prize for best tapa during La Linea’s annual Ruta de la Tapa food festival. The restaurant’s “rollitos de rosada en langostino a la crema” was chosen by judges as the city’s best tapa.
The gastronomic celebrations were held this weekend despite the bad weather which meant that some events had to be cancelled. Organisers said that the event was well attended.
