Sep 01 - Gibraltar Music Festival Sitemap Revealed

gmf sitemap Ahead of the show this Saturday, organisers of the Gibraltar Music Festival have released a sitemap detailing the considerable changes that are being made to the Bayside Sports Complex in preparation for 10,000 music fans.

The new Main Entrance can be accessed from Winston Churchill Avenue, close to the Victoria Stadium's Pitch number 2. There is also a new site for the Radio Gibraltar Stage, which is being built on the tennis court.

Aug 27 - Route 94 Helps Put Gibraltar On the Map

monkey rocksThis National Day, Gibraltar sets its sights on once more propelling itself into the realms of a venue known amongst the elite class of well established and hugely popular international DJs. The Monkey Rocks Festival, hosted by local events company, Project X Productions, in collaboration with the Marbella based promoters Pragma, will present deep house producer, Route 94, to a throng of house music fans who will show no mercy until they hear Route 94’s chart topping ‘My Love’, a mash up of melodic lyrics and bass drum kicks.

Aug 26 - Elie Massias to Head Jazz Festival Workshops

jazz workshops The Gibraltar International Jazz Festival will be offering Jazz Workshops from Monday 20th to Wednesday 22nd October at the John Mackintosh Hall, 308 Main Street.

They will be headed by Elie Massias, with the participation of Juan Galiardo on piano, Pedro Cortejosa on sax, David Leon on drums and percussion and Jose Lopez on double bass. Price will be £20 pounds per day or £50 for the three days.

Aug 22 - Gibraltar Fair Promises Great Entertainment

gibraltar fair Having returned to the Naval Ground site, this year’s Gibraltar Fair will commence tomorrow evening, with a walk around by Miss Gibraltar’s Second Princess Claire Nunez and Culture Minister Steven Linares.

The Family Pavilion, once again hosted by Stage One, promises a varied and entertaining line up of performances throughout the week, including, The Trio at 9:30pm on Saturday evening. The cover band is made up of music students Jeremy Perez, Rob Bensusan and Jesse McLaren.
