The Gibraltar Live Music Society today celebrates its one-year anniversary.
Two soldiers from the Royal Gibraltar Regiment have recently completed their Combat Infantryman’s course after a challenging 28 weeks of education and training.
This morning, a group of over twenty German nationals were guests at No6 Convent Place where they were briefed by the Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Joseph Garcia.
The Century-class cruise ship, Mein Schiff 1, made its inaugural call to Gibraltar today.
The GSD notes that despite the introduction of provisions for the compulsory testing for controlled drugs and alcohol at HM Prison by the former GSD Government in 2011, not one person has been tested under the compulsory powers provided to Prisoner Officers. Moreover, the party says that no use has been made of the provisions which allow the Parole Board to add conditions to those who are granted parole to undergo a period of compulsory drugs testing. This was also a legislative change introduced by the GSD Government.
The following is the speech given by the Leader of the GSLP, Fabian Picardo, at the party's 40th anniversary AGM which took pleace yesterday evening at the John Mackintosh Hall. Mr Picardo notes that there are some small differences between this text and the speech itself.

Its now been almost 10 months since we last met in this place.
Cancer Relief Gibraltar is holding Gibraltar’s Biggest Coffee Morning once again this year. The event will be held at Boyds, Kings Bastion Leisure Centre from 10am to 2pm. Everyone is invited to share a cup of coffee or tea and cake with friends and family and raise funds in one of our major fund-raising events.
