Neuroscientist and University of Oxford researcher Dr Kathleen Taylor is the latest addition to the line-up of participants at the 2016 Gibunco Gibraltar International Literary Festival. Dr Taylor, a noted expert on the workings of the brain, will be discussing various issues including dementia.
The Gibraltar Defence Police (GDP) Federation says it was a “proud moment” to support the National Police Memorial Day by attending its service in St Paul’s Cathedral in the City of London yesterday. His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales was in attendance.
More participants have been named for the forthcoming fourth edition of the Gibunco Gibraltar International Literary Festival. Former politician and Labour Government Minister David Owen, together with authors Robert Montagu and Anna Bogie, have been confirmed.
Organisers of the Clean Up The World (CUTW) campaign have thanked the 300 plus volunteers, collaborators, supporters and sponsors for pulling off another Gibraltar-wide clean up this past weekend.

The GSD says that it's almost a year since the Government announced their scheme to replace 'Gibibikes' with their own 'Redibikes' to encourage people out of their cars and onto bikes. The part says that “an endless list” comes to mind about just how 'Redi' the scheme was when Minister Balban announced it “with much fanfare” during the General election, saying "I am pleased to announce that Government received a consignment of bicycles and their associated infrastructure on 5th August. All enabling works for the bicycle stations has now been completed and we are aiming to be in a position to launch the scheme in early 2016".
