The GHA says it is making available additional opportunities to be immunised against Meningitis W and Measles, for all young people, particularly those going to university this year. This is on top of routine immunisation programmes provided by the GHA, through which the majority of young people in Gibraltar have already been immunised against these two serious diseases.
On Friday 12th August, The Royal Gibraltar Regiment welcomed its newest officer into their ranks. After 44 weeks of intensive physical and academic studies, 2Lt Matthew Lewis took part in the Sovereign’s Parade passing out ceremony at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in Surrey UK.
With effect from Friday 19th August, the two night routes N8A and N8B will be merged into one single route (N8B) which will make for a longer route but a greater frequency of buses at any one stop. Instead of a bus serving any one bus stop every hour, there will be a bus every thirty minutes or so.
Shortly after 4pm on Friday the 12th August, Borders and Coastguard agents carrying out routine security screening with Explosive Trace Detectors identified what appeared to be a prohibited item.
