The Government says it has received reports of illicit tobacco activity in the area of Waterport Terraces. As a result, Customs has immediately started an operation to clamp down on any such activity in the area and has started investigations to determine the identities of the parties who may be responsible for the activities in question.

Bayside and Westside Drama Group have returned in triumph from the Duncan Rand Youth One-Act Play Festival, held this week at Medway Little Theatre in Rochester (Kent). The group dominated the awards with their productions of “The Trial” and “In Jesus’ Name”, with the former winning Best Play and the latter coming third in the same category. This is the first time that the group has won the Festival, having come second on three occasions.
