Gibraltar Cultural Services on behalf of the Ministry of Culture has announced the return of Book Crossing Events on Thursday 21st July, Thursday 4th August and Thursday 11th August at Casemates Square from 8pm-11pm as part of the Summer Nights programme. The stand will be located in front of Watergate House, Casemates Square.

Gorham’s Cave, its sister caves and surrounding cliffs, have been inscribed onto UNESCO’s World Heritage List. The decision was taken by the World Heritage Committee at its 40th Session which is currently being held in Istanbul, Turkey. This is Gibraltar’s first site to be inscribed on the prestigious list; with it the United Kingdom’s list of World Heritage Sites reaches 30. The Gorham’s Cave Complex thus joins a select club of United Kingdom sites that includes the Palace of Westminster and Westminster Abbey, the Giant’s Causeway, Stonehenge and the Tower of London.
The William Tilley lodge of the Gibraltar RAOB (Buffaloes) is holding a charity "horse racing night" at the Laguna Social Club in Laguna Estate this evening starting at 8pm.
The Gibraltar Defence Police is currently training all their patrol officers on Emergency Response procedures and techniques. The training is referred to as “Blue Light” training and is a recent addition to the GDP training schedule.
