The Office of the Chief Minister is this year donating £3,500 to the Royal Gibraltar Regiment Benevolent Fund charity instead of sending out Christmas Cards. The donation marks the Regiment’s 75th Anniversary.
Yesterday the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and Deputy Chief Minister Dr Joseph Garcia left for London to attend the annual Joint Ministerial Council (JMC) which brings together political leaders from the Overseas Territories and UK Ministers. The JMC will be hosted by the FCO’s Minister for the Overseas Territories James Duddridge.
Two new housing schemes will soon be announced consisting of 1,500 homes in two different parts of Gibraltar. This follows the fact that the Government has now completed the allocation process for the sale of affordable housing in Mons Calpe Mews and Beach View Terraces.

The GSD notes that yet again there has been a health and safety incident at the site of Charles Bruzon House affecting Governor's Meadow School.
Ministry of Defence personnel raised almost £200 at the DTC this morning when they held a ‘Moustache Competition’, before the official shave off on Saturday, in aid of the popular Movember appeal.
All participants lined up for Commander British Forces, Commodore Ian McGhie to judge the ‘Movember-off’. The title of ‘Worst Moustache’ went to LPT Roy Cronin, ‘Most Likely to Contain Wildlife’ went to Pete Murray-Jones and overall winner with the grand title of ‘Best Moustache’ went to POPT ‘Bungay’ Edwards.
As part of Operation GibWatch, on the 1st of December, the Royal Gibraltar Police will be launching a crime awareness and safety advice campaign in the lead up to this year’s festive season.
