I already mentioned last year that the present Government had acted responsibly in continuing to pursue UNESCO World Heritage status for Gorham’s Cave and its adjacent sites. Indeed, work in this respect had commenced via the Museum Team during my tenure as Minister for Heritage and, therefore, I continue to wish the Museum Team all the best for the future in their ongoing excavations at Gorham’s and Vanguard’s Caves which normally mainly take place during the summer months.
A Royal Gibraltar Police survey on internet use among children has revealed that hundreds of local kids have had online chats with total strangers. The RGP, with the approval of the Department for Education, carried out a survey on internet safety among school children in 2013. This survey consisted of an anonymous questionnaire among Primary and Secondary school children. It should be noted that the Primary school children were aged between 10 and 11 years.
The Government notes that, in the latest in a series of party political adverts which the GSD has placed only in the Gibraltar Chronicle, the party has alluded to the alleged costs in legal aid of the trial of the Marrache brothers.
