The Government is pleased to announce that the new multi storey car park at Eastern Beach will be officially opened by the Chief Minister to coincide with the start of this year's bathing season.‘This new car park is in line with, and even exceeds, our commitment to improve car parking in the area of Eastern Beach,’ said Mr Picardo.

The Gibraltar Museum is offering a special lecture as part of this year’s spring festival. The lecture, entitled “Gibraltar, Neanderthals and World Heritage” will be given by Professor Clive Finlayson, Director of the Gibraltar Museum.
Jun 07 - Shyanne Azzopardi Crowned Miss Gibraltar 2014
Congratulations to Shyanne Azzopardi on being crowned Miss Gibraltar 2014, this evening. The show was hosted at the Queen's Cinema with Kristy Torres winning First Princess and Claire Nunez taking Second Princess. Commenting on her win, Shyanne noted that she was ecstatic and speechless. She went on to thank the other contestants. Shyanne's prize includes £5000 and a chance to participate in the Miss World Pageant later this year, whilst the First Princess will take part on the Miss International Contest and won £1000. Second Princess Claire Nunez was awarded £500.

During the last couple of months the Gibraltar Youth Service has been working very closely with the Rotary Club. Young people from the Youth Centre carried out a presentation to Rotary Club members in the hope of securing extra funding for an upcoming Wales Youth Exchange.
Jun 06 - Commons Deputy Speaker to Review Duke of Edinburgh Birthday Gun Salute
The Royal Gibraltar Regiment will fire a 21 Gun Salute at 1200 hrs on Tuesday 10th June to mark the celebration of The Duke of Edinburgh’s 93rd birthday.
The Regiment will execute the Gun Salute at Grand Battery House and the Reviewing Officer will be Deputy Speaker of the House of Commons, The Rt Hon Lindsay Hoyle MP.
Jun 06 - Local Fined for Exporting Goods Without a Permit
39 year old local resident Lee Cruz Parry of Royal Sovereign House, Varyl Begg appeared at the Magistrates Court on Tuesday on a charge of Being Knowingly Concerned in the Exportation of Goods from Gibraltar without a permit. He pleaded guilty and was fined £2,000.00.
Jun 06 - Citizens Advice Bureau Launches Website for Volunteering Opportunities
The Citizens Advice Bureau this morning launched their website here2help.gi, which will act as a bridge for potential volunteers and local charities. The website details many of Gibraltar’s most prominent charities and gives potential volunteers a medium for them to get involved in any specific events being held by the charity, or just in general.
