The Cliftons

Located in a leafy corner of Gibraltar’s exclusive South District, The Cliftons is a Taylor Woodrow built residential development consisting of apartments, townhouses and a villa in the area of the old Royal Naval Hospital. The development is a mix of refurbished historical buildings and new constructions.

The development is set out in three phases:

Orchid House – This phase includes nine apartments and two penthouses and is located within part of the old military hospital complex. Orchid House is situated above a cliff, guaranteeing that all residences enjoy a spectacular view. Properties within this block vary in size, from a 60 square metre one-bedroom apartment with 20 square metres of terrace area to the spacious penthouses, which have up to 198 square metres of living space and a large terrace. Benefitting from very high ceilings, many of the apartments have mezzanine floors, extending the already generous and airy living area. Each residence also has a unique floor plan and an effort has been made to keep as many of the original features as possible. The original structure has sturdy walls and original hardwood floors, carefully refurbished. The emphasis is on comfort, luxury and individuality, something Taylor Woodrow have a sterling reputation for in all their developments.

Clifton Mews – The Mews is a smaller area with only 3 townhouses and a villa set on a cliff top and enjoying panoramic views. The townhouses are distributed over three floors, with a garage, bathroom, third bedroom and a spacious hall leading to the garden area on the ground floor. The large kitchen, guest toilet, and a combined dining and reception room with adjoining terrace occupy the first floor, while the second floor has two further bedrooms and two en suite bathrooms. The townhouses all have 150 square metres of living area. The villa next to Clifton Mews was part of the old hospital's dental surgery unit and combines this original structure with a new construction to produce an individual and unusual house complete with four bedrooms and a garage. This house also features a swimming pool and private garden.

Edward House – This part of the Cliftons development includes 3 apartments (one of which is a penthouse) constructed within an Edwardian former senior ratings' building, and 6 townhouses.  The two apartments and the penthouse in Edward House all have two bedrooms and two bathrooms and they all have terraces on three sides and the same high-quality fittings as Orchid House.
