Apr 24 - Unite Holds “Positive Meeting” With Chief Minister And Minister Costa

Unite the Union has said it had a very positive meeting attended today by Representatives across the GHA with the Chief Minister and Minister Costa.  

Unite says that it has been agreed that all departments and wards across the GHA will be given the opportunity in a structured, time-framed process to put across the needs or issues pertaining to their department or ward together with the Unite GHA Convenor or a GHA Unite Shop Steward.

The process will start on the 8th May and will continue until all departments and/or wards have been given the attention they require.

Unite has thanked all Shop Stewards and Reps for their time and commitment.

A statement ended: “We would also like to take this opportunity to thank all GHA employees for their dedication, commitment and loyalty to our community and above all the patients.”

For its part, Number Six said: "Today the Government and Unite the Union held a very productive and positive meeting in which a structured way forward was agreed to resolve all long-standing industrial issues at the GHA.
