Jun 21 - Minute Silence Held In Memory Of Grenfell Tower And Finsbury Park Mosque Victims

A one-minute silence was held in memory of the victims of the Grenfell Tower blaze and Finsbury Park Mosque in the Parliament Lobby today.

The Chief Minister Fabian Picard, His Excellency the Governor Lt Gen Edward Davis and the Speaker of the House Adolfo Canepa paid tribute to those who lost their lives under tragic circumstances in London last week.

Government and Opposition MPs were all in attendance, and all local religious and community leaders as well.

Last Wednesday, Grenfell Tower in North Kensington caught fire and 79 people have been confirmed dead, and Scotland Yard have confirmed the number may rise.

Earlier this week on Monday evening, one person was killed and 10 others injured after a man drove into crowds outside Finsbury Park Mosque as people were leaving after the evening prayers.
