Feb 23 - Chief Minister Holds “Warm and Positive” Meeting With Izquierda Unida Representatives

The Chief Minister, Fabian Picardo, has today met with representatives from the Spanish political party Izquierda Unida.

The Party requested the meeting late last month and the visiting delegation, led by Regional Coordinator Antonio Maíllo also included Inmaculada Nieto, Member of the Andalusian Parliament and MEP Marina Albiol.

The Chief Minister described the meeting as “warm and positive.”

Mr Maíllo, who had met earlier this morning with members of the Cross-Frontier Group, said that Brexit should not become an obstacle to a good and mutually beneficial cross-border relationship.
