Jun 08 - Chamber Hits Back At Unite

The Chamber of Commerce has hit back at Unite the union in the latest exchange over the industrial action carried out by union members at the Borders and Coastguard Agency.

A spokesperson said: “It is farcical to see Unite the Union attacking the Chamber of Commerce to try and deflect from its own hypocritical blunders. The Chamber has been on record campaigning against illegal labour and calling for a level playing field on many occasions. The Chamber is also on record in supporting private sector pensions.

“The difference is that, unlike Unite, the Chamber of Commerce does not seek to bring Gibraltar to a standstill to further its aims.”
