June 21 - Defenders Congratulate Gib UN Delegation
The Defenders of Gibraltar would like to congratulate the Gibraltar UN delegation on their success at the United Nations last week.
A spokesperson said: “The emotional speeches delivered appear to have had an effect and evoked a response, which is extremely gratifying for us all to see. It would also appear that the C24 have even committed to sending teams to the nations on the list, like Gibraltar. This is fantastic news. We would also like to personally thank Mr Dennis Matthews and the SDGG for all of the extremely hard work and dedication they have shown over the years, for a cause so close to the heart of all Gibraltarians.
The simple fact that they have never given up speaks wonders for their determination to bring about positive change to our circumstance and the way in which the world views Gibraltar. We view the SDGG as an inspiration, and hope that they continue to fight the good fight – they have our unconditional support in this. ”
The Defenders of Gibraltar are holding a meet and greet next week on Saturday 29th June at the Piazza. This is an opportunity for people to speak to DoG members and find out about all of the things that they have been up to, or indeed have planned for the near future. This meet and greet has been planned since February of this year, and the Defenders have two more planned and booked for July and August of this year.
