June 28 - Cameron Hits Out At Spain After Jet Ski Shooting
David Cameron has hit out at Spain following the incident earlier this week in which a Guardia Civil vessel fired at a jet ski just off the runway near Western Beach.
According to politicshome.com, the Prime Minister said he had raised the incident with the Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy repeating that it was vital that the country obey international rules.
"I think this is a totally unacceptable episode and I made that clear," he said in Brussels.
"I think it’s very important the people in Gibraltar know that we support them, we support their sovereignty.
"We will always stand up for them and stand by them. I think it’s very important that countries obey all the international rules [and] international laws and that should be for Gibraltar as well as anywhere else."
This follows an earlier protest from Europe Minister David Lidington earlier this week.
