Aug 27 - Feetham Withholds Opinion on Spain Dispute to Allow Government to Implement ‘Its Own Strategy’
Following a statement released this morning by the Government, regarding Chief Minister Fabian Picardo briefing Opposition Leader, Daniel Feetham, on the ongoing issues with Spain, Mr. Feetham has noted that in the few statements that have been made by his party regarding the dispute he has tried to be ‘candid but measured’.
He added ‘It has been my intention, however, in the public interest, to keep any public comment to a minimum in order to allow the Government the space to implement its own strategy. Any views that I hold, I will, of course, express them in private to the Chief Minister, in what have been very constructive and positive meetings'.
