The GSD has today said that, over four years after the GLSP-Liberals were first elected into Government in 2011 with a manifesto pledge that they would put an end to fishing with nets and raking in British Gibraltar Territorial Waters (“BGTW”) the practice continues unabated.
On the day that the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and the Deputy Chief Minister Dr Joseph Garcia leave for Brussels, the Government says it considers that it is important to highlight the fact that Gibraltar has received a total of nearly 60 million euros in EU funding since the first allocation of such funds was made in 1990. This includes the current programme.
The Chief Minister, Fabian Picardo, leaves Gibraltar today for a two day visit to Brussels where he will hold various meetings with Members of the European Parliament and senior officials at the European Commission.
The Government says that the statement from Isolas and Fiduciary has “confirmed and put entirely beyond doubt” the fact that Albert Isola has properly disclosed all his interests in his Declaration of Interest form.
