The GSD has said that the Together Gibraltar reaction to the GSD statement on the vaccination of 12–15-year-olds is “absurd.”
The Government says that it considers that the Opposition’s “irresponsible reaction” to the vaccination against COVID-19 of 12-15 year olds in the United Kingdom and Gibraltar “is in the stone age.”
The Chief Minister has today written to outgoing Foreign Secretary, Dominic Raab, to thank him for his support in his time in office, in particular given his support for Gibraltar during the negotiations of the New Year’s Eve Agreement and the Covid pandemic.
Together Gibraltar has described the statement by the GSD yesterday as “little more than a shameful attempt to pander to antivaxxeers and conspiracy theorists” adding that the party’s contribution “compromises Gibraltar’s capacity to address the still ongoing Covid pandemic - only for a handful of votes.”
The Government has said that it is “quite incredible” that the GSD’s Roy Clinton should have chosen to raise concern about the cost of travel for a Parliamentary conference in Belfast when his own seat is “nearly three times as expensive” as that booked by a Government Minister for the same event.
